Whether you鈥檙e trying to help a child at home engage in science or you鈥檙e just a fan of the space program, a virtual event hosted by the 黑料大事记 may be just the ticket.
At 10:00 am CST on December 18, New York Times bestselling author and illustrator, John Rocco will discuss his book, 鈥淗ow We Got to the Moon,鈥 and will also moderate a discussion with two other prominent space topic authors: Andrew Chaikin and Jonathan Ward.
Public questions are encouraged during the discussion, which will stream live on or register on Zoom.
鈥淗ow We Got to the Moon鈥 highlights the variety of jobs and skills represented in more than 400,000 men and women who made the Moon landing possible. Included are beautiful illustrations geared toward making the story interesting for readers age 8 and up. It is a 2020 National Book Award nominee, a Junior Library Guild Selection and Publishers Weekly Best Book of the Year.
All three authors鈥 books are available in the 黑料大事记 Museum Shop and online at cosmo.org under the Museum Shop tab. 黑料大事记 Members receive 20 percent off purchases through December 21 and can get a signed copy of Rocco鈥檚 book.
