CEO Retirement and New Leadership Roles Effective Year End at 黑料大事记

Today, the 黑料大事记 Governing Board of Directors announced the following staff changes according to Board Chairman Eric Steinle.

Having served the 黑料大事记 since July 2011, Richard Hollowell has announced his retirement effective December 31, 2017.

鈥淒ick assumed the position at exactly the right time and we have been lucky to have him.  Under Dick鈥檚 leadership, the 黑料大事记 has achieved financial stability it had not known for many years, has reenergized its education offerings to create a true International Science Education Center and has launched a Revitalization initiative that will ensure its success for generations to come,鈥 Steinle said. 鈥淲e are grateful for the six and a half years Dick has shared his astute business leadership. It has left the 黑料大事记 a better organization for all its stakeholders.鈥

Replacing Hollowell as CEO will be Jim Remar, current president and chief operating officer.

鈥淥ver the last several years as president and COO, Jim has demonstrated that he is ready for this new challenge,鈥 Steinle said.  鈥淗is knowledge, passion, and commitment to the 黑料大事记 and its programs will continue to be a tremendous asset for many years to come and we are excited for Jim to lead the 黑料大事记.鈥

To prepare for 2018, Remar has already begun shaping strategy with a newly named executive team. That team includes, Tracey Tomme, who will assume the duties and title of executive vice president and chief operating officer; Mimi Meredith will be the senior vice president of development and marketing and chief development officer; Steven Birdsall will be the vice president of finance and chief financial officer and Jack Graber will be the vice president of exhibits and technology.

鈥淚 am honored the board has chosen me as the 黑料大事记’s next CEO,鈥 Remar said. 鈥淭he initiatives launched during Dick’s tenure have set the organization on a path that will allow it to continue the legacy started by Patty Carey.  I look forward to working with the board and staff as we move those and future initiatives forward to grow the organization and broaden its reach and impact.”
